About the Artist
Born in Port Shepstone in 1952, I have always had a love for and fascination with art – particularly watercolours and was motivated by the old, reel flicks at DHS where Alan Turton, my art teacher used to feature Nils Anderson and other great watercolourists at the time.
Douglas Treasure and the late Richard Rennie were also artists that I admired. With a view to loosening up my style a bit I really value the likes of Alvaro Castagnet and Nita Engele.
My art can now be seen at galleries such as – The Artists gallery in Ramsgate, Maytime gallery in Kloof and various online galleries. I have had a number of successful exhibitions at various centres and now run three day art workshops in watercolours from our quaint little south coast village – Umzumbe.
I currently live in Umzumbe and am a keen mountain biker, cook and when the mood grabs, some fine weather surfing as well!
